Ingredients
1 c butter, softened
1 1/2 c white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c all-purpose flour
2/3 c cocoa powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 c chocolate chips (or mint or whatever kind you want)
1/2 c nuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
3. Combined the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Stir into the butter mixture until well blended.
4. Stir chocolate chips.
5. Drop rounded teaspoons into uncreased cookie sheets.
6. Bake 8-10 minutes or just until set. Cool on cookie sheet before transferring to wire racks too cool.
