Turtle Cake




Ingredients:
1 German chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels (about 50) unwrapped
1 can evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.  Lightly spray 9 x 13" pan.  Prepare cake according to box.  Pour about half of batter into pan (sometimes I put about 1/3 and have some batter left over because I like less cake and more gooey stuff).  Bake 15 min.  While baking, microwave caramels with milk and butter on high 2 min.  Stir then 1 more min. on high.  Stir until smooth.  Slowly pour caramel over baked cake.  Sprinkle with chocolate.  Pour on remaining batter.  Sprinkle pecans on top.  Bake 30 min.  Cool completely.
